The police arrested six more accused on Sunday in connection with the riot that took place on Saturday over the occupation of a plot on the Pilibhit bypass in Bareilly. So far, 18 accused have been arrested, out of which nine have been sent to jail. Due to the report being summoned by the government, the local officials have become strict in this matter. On Saturday, there was a clash between the groups of property dealer Rajiv Rana and marble shop owner Aditya Upadhyay over the possession of a plot near Bajrang Dhaba on Pilibhit bypass road in Izzatnagar area. On Sunday night, the police arrested Arjun Kashyap, Anil alias Sunny and Sanjeev, residents of village Dharampur in Hafizganj police station area, Shailesh of Rajendranagar, Vishal, resident of village Kalapur in Izzatnagar police station area and Munajir, resident of village Labhera. The faces of all the six arrested people were seen in CCTV footage. All of them have a criminal history.
